Krótkie formy prozatorskie we współczesnej literaturze duńskiej. Intertekstualne studium gatunku

Abstract

Niniejsza rozprawa stanowi studium obszaru gatunkowego duńskiej prozy minimalistycznej lat 90-tych XX w., określanej zbiorczo terminem ”kortprosa”, przeprowadzone z perspektywy komparatystycznej, mającej na celu wyeksponowanie pomijanego jak dotąd dialogicznego wymiaru nurtu. Krótkie formy prozatorskie to jeden z wiodących nurtów we współczesnej literaturze duńskiej, którego estetyka jawi się jako synteza minimalizmu oraz gatunkowego eklektyzmu, stanowiąc tym samym bogaty w wyzwania, estetycznie różnorodny grunt badawczy. W celu zapewnienia reprezentatywności wyników przeprowadzonych badań materiał analityczny rozprawy odzwierciedla trzy główne obszary inspiracji we współczesnej minimalistycznej prozie duńskiej, t.j. minimalistyczna short story amerykańska, nowelistyka fantastyczna Franza Kafki oraz Jorge Luis Borgesa, a także norweska ”powieść punktowa”. W każdym z wyodrębnionych obszarów inspiracji analiza została przeprowadzona wg. tego samego modelu, bazującego na wybranych teoriach intertekstualności w ujęciu strukturalistycznym, koncentrując się wokół takich aspektów jak forma, zakres oraz funkcja zlokalizowanych w tekstach odniesień, a także ich ogólna rozpoznawalność z punktu widzenia czytelnika. Wskazując na różnorodność warstwy dialogicznej współczesnych duńskich krótkich form prozatorskich badania ukazują pozycję nurtu na tle szerszego kontekstu literackiego XX w.

The thesis offers a new, comparatistic approach to the Danish minimalist short prose from the 1990'ies, known as ”kortprosa”. The general aim of the study is to highlight the genre's dialogical dimension, which has not been explored in research so far. As a combination of minimalist aesthetic and a highly experimental approach to traditional genre conventions, the short prose genre constitutes one of the leading and most challenging tendencies in the contemporary Danish literature. In order to provide representative results, the thesis focuses on the material, which illustrates three major lines of inspiration followed by the Danish minimalist authors, such as the American minimalist short story, the fantastic short story represented by Franz Kafka and Jorge Luis Borges and the Norwegian punctual novel. In each of the examined text groups, the analysis follows the same model, constructed on the basis of the selected structural approaches to the notion of intertextuality, and concentrated on such aspects as the form, range and function of the identified intertextual connections, as well as their identifiability from the reader's perspective. Bringing up the variety of dialogical references placed beneath the minimalist surface of the texts analysed, the study illustrates the position, which Danish minimalist literature obtains within a broader literary context of the XX century.

Nærværende afhandling åbner op for en ny, komparativ tilgang til minimalistisk dansk kortprosa fra 1990'erne, anvendt med henblik på at belyse den indtil videre oversete dimension af genrens dialogiske forbindelser til en bredere forstået litterær kontekst. Begrebet ”kortprosa” bruges som en samlebetegnelse for en af de mest toneangivende og udfordrende tendenser i moderne dansk litteratur, hvis æstetik kendetegnes ved et samspil af minimalisme og et grænseoverskridende forhold til de etablerede genrekonventioner. Undersøgelsen bygger på et tekstmateriale, der er repræsentativt for de tre førende inspirationsområder i moderne dansk kortprosalitteratur, herunder den amerikanske minimalistiske short-story, den fantastiske fortælling dyrket af Franz Kafka og Jorge Luis Borges og den norske punktromantradition. Det udvalgte tekstmateriale undersøges ved hjælp af en analysemodel udviklet på baggrund af de relevante strukturalistiske tilgange til intertekstualitetsbegrebet. De opsporede dialogiske referencer analyseres med fokus på sådanne hovedaspekter som form, omfang og funktion, såvel som deres identificerbarhed ud for læserens perspektiv. Således belyser analyserne den danske kortprosas fortrængte dialogiske mangfoldighed, der gør det muligt at bestemme genrens placering i forhold til andre beslægtede traditioner dyrket i d. 20. århundrede, både i Skandinavisk og på verdensplan.
