Przemoc w popkulturze - Pop-przemoc? O dyskursie przemocy i ciała w popkulturze na przykładzie niemieckojęzycznej literatury pop lat dziewięćdziesiątych XX i pierwszej dekady XXI wieku

Abstract

Celem niniejszej pracy jest analiza popularnokulturowych dyskursów przemocy i ciała na podstawie wybranych tekstów niemieckojęzycznej literatury pop z lat 1990-2009. Przed przystąpieniem do analizy tekstów prymarnych, została podjęta próba precyzyjnego zdefiniowania pojęcia kultury popularnej/popkultury oraz przemocy. W części teoretycznej omówione zostały główne narracje o fenomenach przemocy i kultury popularnej. Szczegółowa analiza wybranych powieści nurtu literatury pop, jak również towarzysząca analizie wnikliwa lektura tekstów tworzących narrację wokół fenomenów przemocy i kultury popularnej/popkultury pozwala na sformułowanie charakterystyki specyficznego, pop-estetycznego przedstawienia przemocy. Jako pop-przemoc można określić każde przedstawienie przemocy, którego estetyka, tzn. sposób, w jaki przemoc postrzegana jest przez instancję pośredniczącą w jej przedstawieniu (np. narratora), może budzić w odbiorcy równocześnie uczucia obrzydzenia, zdziwienia, konsternacji jak i przyjemności, zadowolenia, czy zachwytu. Estetyka jest w tym miejscu rozumiana bardziej jako sposób postrzegania, niż postrzeganie w konkretnym kontekście kategorii piękna czy wzniosłości. Inaczej rzecz ujmując, pop-przemoc jest rozładowaniem dyskursywnego, tzn. wynikającego z nagromadzenia dyskursów i nadmiaru znaków kulturowych, napięcia za pomocą fenomenów poza-dyskursywnych bądź aluzji do nich.

The main goal of this study is to analyze popular cultural discourses of violence and body on the basis of selected texts of German pop literature from the years 1990-2009. Prior to the analysis of primary texts, there was made an attempt to define precisely the concept of popular culture / pop culture and violence. The theoretical part of the study discusses the main narratives of the phenomena of violence and popular culture. A detailed analysis of selected pop novels, as well as the accompanying careful reading of the texts forming the narrative around the phenomena of violence and popular culture / pop culture allow to formulate the specific characteristics of popaesthetic presentation of violence. The term ‘popviolence’ stands for any representation of violence, which aesthetics, that is the way in which violence is seen by the entity intermediary in its presentation (e.g. the narrator), may cause in the recipient at the same time feelings of disgust, surprise, dismay and pleasure, satisfaction or delight. Aesthetics is here understood as more of a way of perception than a perception in the context of a particular category of beauty and the sublime. In other words, popviolence is discharging of a discursive, which is resulting from the accumulation and surfeit of discourses and cultural signs, tensions with the help of non-discursive phenomena or allusions to them.

Diese Studie hat es zum Ziel, kulturelle Diskurse von Gewalt und Körper am Beispiel ausgewählter Texte der deutschsprachigen Popliteratur der 1990er und 2000er Jahre zu analysieren. Vor der Analyse von Primärtexten wurde ein Versuch unternommen, die Konzepte der populären Kultur / Popkultur und Gewalt möglich präzis zu definieren. Im theoretischen Teil der Studie werden die wichtigsten Narrationen zu den Phänomenen von Gewalt und populärer Kultur besprochen. Die grundlegende Analyse gewählter Pop-Romane, sowie die die Analyse begleitende Lektüre von Texten, die Narrationen um Gewalt und Popliteratur erfassen, führen zur Formulierung der spezifischen Eigenschaften von pop-ästhetischer Gewaltdarstellung. Pop-Gewalt wäre jede Darstellung von Gewalt, deren Ästhetik, d.h. die Art und Weise, wie die Gewalt von der sie darstellenden Instanz (z.B. dem Erzähler) wahrgenommen wird, im Rezipienten solche Gefühle, wie Ekel, Erstauen und Vergnügen, Entzücken, Spaß gleichzeitig weckt. Ästhetik gilt hier vor allem als eine Wahrnehmungsweise, statt der Beurteilung in Hinblick auf ästhetische Kategorien, d.h. die des Schönen, Erhabenen und Ansprechenden. Mit anderen Worten, bedeutet Pop-Gewalt eine diskursive, d.h. aus der Anhäufung von Diskursen und Überzahl von Zeichen resultierende, Spannung mithilfe von außerdiskursiven Phänomenen (oder nur gedanklichen Anspielung darauf) zu entladen.
