The road to martyrdom. The study of spiritual experience of blessed Natalia Tułasiewicz
Abstract
Natalia Tułasiewicz została w 1999 roku, w gronie 108 polskich męczenników II wojny światowej, ogłoszona błogosławioną przez papieża Jana Pawła II. Jej oddane Bożemu dziełu życie i śmierć są wymownym świadectwem heroicznej miłości, którą uczyniła zasadą i treścią całej swojej egzystencji. Przedmiotem studium jest doświadczenie duchowe Błogosławionej, które zbadano i opisano w ramach poszczególnych „miejsc” jego aktualizacji, ukazując jego źródła i dynamizm, wraz z jego wpływem na kształtowanie świadomości, osobowości, postaw oraz fundamentalnych aktów woli, nadających zasadniczy kierunek życiu bł. Natalii. Całość rozprawy ujęto w sześciu rozdziałach. W pierwszym przedstawiono ogólną charakterystykę jej postaci w kontekście środowiska życia. Kolejne cztery ukazują jej doświadczenie duchowe w jego specyficznych i klasycznych „miejscach”, i tak kolejno: drugi rozdział odnosi się do rekolekcji, kierownictwa duchowego oraz ascezy; trzeci do sakramentów spowiedzi i Eucharystii; czwarty do modlitwy słownej i medytacji; piąty do kontemplacji. W ostatnim rozdziale – szóstym, przedstawiono udzieloną Bogu odpowiedź Błogosławionej, ujętą w pięciu wyszczególnionych aktach jej woli. Przeprowadzone studium nie tylko opisuje w sposób wyczerpujący relację Błogosławionej z samoudzielającym się w Jezusie Chrystusie Bogiem, ale ponadto wykazuje, że istnieje realny związek pomiędzy męczeńską śmiercią bł. Natalii Tułasiewicz a jej doświadczeniem duchowym. Otrzymane w doświadczeniu poznanie i Miłość pozwalają jej ufnie wypowiedzieć swoje osobiste „fiat” i powierzyć swoją drogę Temu, który sam się z nią utożsamia.
Natalia Tułasiewicz was beatified by Pope John Paul II in 1999, in the group of 108 Polish martyrs of the Second World War. Her devoted to God life as well as her death are a clear testimony of her heroic love, which she made the principle of her existence. The subject of the research is spiritual experience of the Blessed, which is studied and described in the various "places" of its occurrence. The dissertation shows its source and dynamism, along with its impact on raising awareness, personality, attitudes and fundamental acts of will that give the main direction of Natalia’s life. The whole dissertation is entered in six chapters. The first chapter describes her general characteristics in the context of the living environment. Next four chapters show her spiritual experience in its specific and classical "places". The second chapter refers to the retreat, spiritual guidance and asceticism; the third one refers to sacramental confession and the Eucharist; the fourth refers to a verbal prayer and meditation and the fifth refers to contemplation. The last chapter - the sixth, presents the response given to God by the Blessed which is recognized in five specified acts of her will. The dissertation presents in a comprehensive manner the relationship between the Blessed and the God. Furthermore, it shows that there is a real correlation between the fact of her martyrdom and her spiritual experience which has its roots in the person of Jesus Christ and His love to the Father and His creation. Received in the spiritual experience knowledge and love allow her to express her personal "fiat" trustfully, and entrust Him her way of life which he identifies himself with.
