Item Adjustment policy of Poland in 1990 - 1996(Wydział Prawa i Administracji UAM, 1997) Gorynia, Marian; J. Otta, WiesławFundamental controversy concerning policy of transition of post-socialist economies to a market economy is discussed by the authors of this article. The controversy is related to a dispute between supporters of "big-bang" (the so-called "shock therapy") and those who support an evolutionary approach. The authors argue that: — "big-bang" policy was necessary in Polish circumstances but, the same time, it proved to be insufficient because it ignored - to a considerable degree - both institutional and structural levels of the transformation and focused mainly on macro level; — conceptions of evolutionary policy which focus on institutional transformation are not an alternative for stabilization policy and they take no account of restructurization problem; — there is a need for complex and harmonious policy of transition for to assure a stabilization and an institutional milieu favouring market transformation; such a policy should also stimulate restructuring processes on all levels of the economic system; — in the advanced phase of transition, the centre of gravity of respective policy slides from macro and mezo levels to incitement of adjustment processes issuing "from the tanks" - on micro and micro-micro levels.Item DEBATA „POLSKA TRANSFORMACJA GOSPODARCZA: 20 LAT PÓŹNIEJ”(Wydział Prawa i Administracji UAM, 2010) Fiedor, Bogusław; Gomułka, Stanisław; Jajuga, Krzysztof; Kowalski, Tadeusz; Orłowski, Witold; Gorynia, MarianItem Delimitacja systemów gospodarczych w naukach ekonomicznych(Wydział Prawa i Administracji UAM, 1993) Gorynia, MarianThe article presents methodic aspects of distinguishing economic systems as a subject-matter of economic sciences. The delimitation of economic systems may be carried out by means of the conception of hierarchical structure and order. The delimitation of economic systems should be performed on two planes: vertical and horizontal. A vertical plane is connected with the determination of hierarchical level, i.e., the level of the analysis of social existence. In turn, a horizontal plane is connected with the criteria of subordination of sub-systems distinguished at a given level of analysis. The traditional economy distinguished two levels of analysis: micro and macro. In the 20th c. three additional levels of analysis have been distinguished: micromicro, mezo and global. The article discusses the characteristics of analyses conducted at particular levels. The last part of t he article contains the examples of delimitation of economic sub-systems in four branches of economy: (i) theory of industry organization; (ii) regional economy and zoning; (iii) organization and management, and (iv) marketing.Item III. So far, the private sector has not socially functioned as well as it should. This is the basis for the state starting various activities, such as the control of profit margin, classified outlay costs, increase of prices and changes in the structures of branches.Item POLSKA POLITYKA GOSPODARCZA A INTERNACJONALIZACJA I GLOBALIZACJA(Wydział Prawa i Administracji UAM, 2006) Gorynia, MarianCertain recommendations, or propositions for the directions of Polish economic policy are presented. Three key conditions upon which the place of Poland’s economy in the international environment depends have been analysed as those which will ultimately determine the advantages of the international division of labour resulting in a possible enrichment and prosperity. Those conditions are: a) completion of the transformation process, whose significance will be diminishing in time; b) Poland’s EU membership - and especially Poland’s economic relations with other member states; and c) globalisation, which will ultimately be decisive for Poland’s role in the world’s economy, but which, alongside many opportunities, brings many threats for the Polish economy as well. The first group of recommendations (propositions) presented in the paper point to the importance of building a long term strategy for Polish economy in the competitive market, and the other proposes forms and directions of supporting the competitiveness of Polish businesses and products in the Single European Market.Item PRZEGLĄD PIŚMIENNICTWA(Wydział Prawa i Administracji UAM, 2011) Gorynia, Marian; Kobla, Magdalena; Deszczyński, Przemysław; Szafrański, WojciechMaria Majewska-Bator, Rozwój endogenicznej przewagi w handlu międzynarodowym a proces zmniejszania luki technologicznej, Poznań 2010 (rec. The proposed strategies are based on the results of an empirical research which was financed by the State Committee for Scientific Research in Poland. The project examined the strategies that had already been used by Polish companies in respect on the foreign competitors and foreign capital entering the Polish market in a variety of legal forms, with a special focus on direct investments. Selected actual cases of market competition described in professional publications are also discussed. The opinions presented in the paper have been grounded on those economic theories and doctrines which seem to gaining popularity and often serve as the foundation of the strategies, which are being adopted by many enterprises. The conclusion offered is rather optimistic, as Polish enterprises as seen to be confronting foreign competitors from a position that is not, ex definitione, a lost one. However, successful strategies should be based on carefully developed sources of a competitive advantage.Item WYBRANE ASPEKTY STRATEGII POLSKICH PRZEDSIĘBIORSTW W OKRESIE TRANSFORMACJI(Wydział Prawa i Administracji UAM, 2009) Gorynia, MarianThe paper is a synthesis o f theoretical and empirical results of a research into the behaviour of Polish companies in transition. The study was carried out between 1990-2008 as a four-stage project. Its theoretical goal, i.e. reconstruction of a model approach to an enterprise in transition, as well as the empirical goal, i.e. presentation o f the most important results of an empirical study have been accomplished and are presented in the paper.
