In the higher stage of linguistic studies, including foreigners, should occupy a prominent place substantive issues of factual styles, because the factual communiqué forms a major part of the professional activity of scientists, translators, interpreters and teachers. The study presents the objectives, content, methods and forms of activity in this discipline based on the author’s experience with the teaching of foreigners, most recently at the Institute of Czech Studies at the Faculty of Arts.

(Komisja Slawistyczna PAN, Oddział w Poznaniu, IFS UAM, Wydawnictwo PRO, 2015) Dembska, Katarzyna
The article describes the problem of presence neologisms in modern Czech language on example names of persons. The Author analyzes, how many neologisms registered in dictionary Nová slova v češtině (1998) by Olga Martincová are used in modern Czech language. On the basis of four dictionaries of Czech language (Slovník současné češtiny (2011, Lingea, Brno), Slovník spisovné češtiny pro školu a veřejnost (2013, Academia, Praha), Slovník cizích slov (2002, SPN-Pedagogické nakladatelství, Praha), Slovník nespisovné češtiny (2006, Maxdorf, Praha) and National Corpus of Czech the author looks up the role of neologisms in the forming of contemporary Czech language system.

    Hovorová spisovná čeština
(Komisja Slawistyczna PAN, Oddział w Poznaniu, IFS UAM, Wydawnictwo PRO, 2015) Štěpán, Josef
The article delimits the so-called Colloquial Standard Czech as a language variety of the Czech. This variety is to be distinguished from the Common Czech, which is closest to the Colloquial Standard Czech of all the language varieties: through the Colloquial Standard Czech, the Common Czech enriches the Standard Czech. The paper criticises the fluctuation of the concepts of standardness, Colloquial Standard Czech, Everyday Language. The linguistic means of the Colloquial Standard Czech cover all the levels of the language system; in the paper only the syntactic means are mentioned.

    Národní korpusy a polsko-česká/ česko-polská překladová lexikografie
(Komisja Slawistyczna PAN, Oddział w Poznaniu, IFS UAM, Wydawnictwo PRO, 2015) Charciarek, Andrzej
The article describes the role which national corpora can and should play in creating the great Polish-Czech/ Czech-Polish dictionary. The article analyses functions of the language corpora in preparing single and multi-word dictionary entries in an e-dictionary. Concrete examples have been used for the purposes of the detailed analysis of polysemy and homonymy in the process of creating dictionary entries. Also, the methodology of monolingual lexicography (e.g. identifiers and definitions) is presented in the description of dictionary entries (words or phrasemes) in the dictionary. Particular focus is put on creating dictionary entry structure and using the national corpora. Some concrete examples have been used to illustrate selectivity and incompleteness in the description of lexical unit meanings found in dictionaries not based on the texts from the language corpora. The article emphasises the significance of language corpora in creating entries as they are a useful source of frequency data in creating dictionary entries. The article is based on the corpus data from the National Corpus of Polish (NKJP) and the Czech National Corpus (ČNK).

    Semantyka czeskich wykrzykników
(Komisja Slawistyczna PAN, Oddział w Poznaniu, IFS UAM, Wydawnictwo PRO, 2015) Krzempek, Monika
The aim of the paper is a semantic analysis of Czech interjections. The analysed material comes from the internet language corpora: The Czech National Corpus SYN2000, SYN2005, ORAL2008, SYN2010. The list of analysed interjections consists of automatically selected lexemes with the tag interjection in the corpus SYN2000 and of lexemes qualified as interjections in the dictionary of the standard Czech language (Slovník spisovné češtiny pro školu a veřejnost 2007). Gathered data comprise 250 lexemes (with variants). The paper consists of four chapters. The first one provides an introduction to the subject matter and includes a short summary of the views and opinions on the semantic structure of interjections. In the second chapter the author briefly describes methods and the conception of the meaning which are taken into account in the paper (cognitive semantics). The third part provides a semantic analysis of interjections. It consists of two sections; the first one is focused on the description and characteristics of central domains within which interjections are conceptualised (domains of feelings, movement, sound, scripts and abstract domains). The second section presents the analysis of the domain matrices of interjections. Finally, the author provides a summary of the research results.
