Aspirations and the value system of students from specialized secondary schools in Pomorskie Province. An attempt of a diagnosis
Abstract
Autora przedkładanej rozprawy interesują problemy młodzieży w wieku adolescencji, konkretnie uczniów liceów profilowanych, tworzących środowisko dotychczas nieznane i szczególne pod względem ich świata wartości i aspiracji. W związku z powyższym pragnie uzyskać odpowiedź na pytanie, które stało się głównym problemem tej pracy: czy i jaka jest zależność między czynnikami środowiskowymi i zamierzeniami edukacyjnymi badanej młodzieży a jej aspiracjami życiowymi oraz postrzeganymi wartościami? Praca składa się z sześciu rozdziałów oraz wniosków. Trzy pierwsze rozdziały dotyczą teoretycznych podstaw aspiracji i wartości, kolejny metodologicznych podstaw badań, dwa ostatnie prezentują wyniki badań własnych autora. We wnioskach wynikających z analizy jakościowej i ilościowej, zamieszczono wskazanie teoretycznych podstaw zależności i dynamiki wartości między systemem wartości uznawanych, a blokiem wartości odczuwanych, w kontekście wyrażanych w okresie adolescencji postaw młodzieży. Poza podejściem psychologicznym i socjologicznym zostały ustalone podstawy podejścia pedagogicznego w badaniach, związane z całokształtem zachowań podmiotu w obszarach pedagogicznej aksjologii. Zaprezentowana próba diagnozy nowego dla szkolnictwa obszaru szkół ponadgimnazjalnych pozwala na głębsze rozpoznanie funkcjonującej w nim młodzieży, co w konsekwencji może przyczynić się do właściwego ukierunkowania relacji w procesach wychowawczych i edukacyjnych.
The author of the dissertation submitted is interested in the problems of young people in their adolescent age, namely students from specialized secondary schools, who form an environment which has not been studied so far and which is special considering the world of their values and aspirations. In connection with the above, the author seeks an answer to the question which has become the main issue of the present thesis: is there a dependence, and if there is, then what is the dependence between environment-related factors and the educational objectives of the young people under examination and their life aspirations and the values they perceive? This thesis consists of six chapters and conclusions. The first three chapters concern the theoretical grounds and aspirations and values; the fourth chapter deals with the methodological bases of the research, while the two last chapters present the results of the author’s own studies. The conclusions which are based on a qualitative and quantitative analysis include an indication of the theoretical grounds for the dependence and dynamics of values between the system of those values that are recognized and the block of those values which are felt, in the context of the attitudes accepted by young people in their adolescent age. Apart from a psychological and sociological approach, the bases were defined of a pedagogical approach in the investigations, which are related to the entirety of the subject’s behaviors in the areas of pedagogical axiology. An attempt presented of a diagnosis of the area of post-lower secondary schools permits a deeper cognition of young people who function in this area, which consequently may contribute to an adequate orientation of relations in educational processes.
