A woman-an actress in the theater of everyday life
Abstract
Część teoretyczna rozprawy jest socjopedagogiczną perspektywą interakcjonizmu symbolicznego. Zawiera analizę dramaturgicznej koncepcji E. Goffmana w odniesieniu do wymogów zawodowych aktorów oraz wobec teorii E.T. Halla dotyczącej komunikowania się, a także koncepcję roli w świetle interakcjonizmu symbolicznego oraz tożsamość współczesnego człowieka wobec ciągle zmieniających się warunków życia. Zaprezentowany jest rys historyczny zawodu aktorskiego, jego specyfika w kontekście kobiet –aktorek, matek, żon oraz odniesienie do „walki o uznanie” jako warunek i możliwość kreowania stale zagrożonej indywidualnej tożsamości. Część badawcza obejmuje analizę badań własnych w oparciu o analizę koncepcji dramaturgicznej i dotyczy procesów zachodzących podczas łączenia ról przypisanych kobiecie. Przedstawione zostały obrazy kobiety-aktorki, aktorki-matki, aktorki-żony, kobiety aktywnej zawodowo oraz aktywność aktorek w życiu codziennym – czy, i w jakim stopniu oraz w jakich sytuacjach aktorki wykorzystują swoje zawodowe umiejętności w życiu pozazawodowym – jako działania mające potencjalne konsekwencje dotyczące kwestii określenia tożsamości. Obraz tożsamości ambiwalentnej, różnej w domu i poza nim, opartej na antynomiach wykazuje większość badanych. Prace badawcze objęły dwadzieścia siedem kobiet, które ukończyły Akademię Teatralną na Wydziale Aktorskim. Forma badań oraz analiza materiału empirycznego zostały oparte na kryteriach metodologii teorii ugruntowanej.
The theoretical part is the socio-pedagogical perspective of symbolic interactionism. The theory contains the analysis of Goffman's dramaturgical concept regarding the professional requirements of actors and E.T. Hall’s theory, regarding perception of people's communication and the concept of a role in the light of symbolic interactionism. It deals with the identity of modern man in the face of constantly changing conditions of life. There is a historical outline of the profession and its specificity in the context of women - actresses, mothers, wives and a reference to the "fight for recognition" as a condition and the opportunity to create a constantly threatened individual identity. The research part includes the analysis of author’s own research based on the dramaturgical concept analysis and concerns the processes taking place when combining roles assigned to a woman. It depicts a woman-actress, a mother-actress, a wife-actress and the activity of actresses in everyday life - to what extent and in what situations actresses use their professional skills in non-professional life, as actions having potential consequences regarding the issue of identifying. The image of an ambivalent identity, different at home and outside of it, based on antinomies is showed by the majority of respondents. The study covered 27 women who graduated from the Theater Academy (Acting Department). The form of research and analysis of the empirical material have been based on the criteria of the grounded theory methodology.
