A Writer in Communicative Space: The Study of Krzysztof Varga
Abstract
Celem naukowym rozprawy doktorskiej jest przedstawienie strategii komunikacji, która występuje w twórczości Krzysztofa Vargi. Pisarstwo Vargi nie doczekało się jak dotąd analizy w postaci monografii naukowej. Autor jest bardzo wszechstronny. Tworzy prozę i jest krytykiem literackim. Uprawia także publicystykę, w której analizuje ponowoczesną kulturę i jej wpływ na społeczeństwo. W swoich tekstach porusza ważne tematy jak autobiografizm oraz złożoną polsko-węgierską tożsamość. Bada relacje zachodzące między jednostką a miastem, sposoby funkcjonowania ciała w dzisiejszym świecie oraz wpływ kultury masowej. Wskazane tematy realizują zaplanowaną strategię komunikacji.
The scientific aim of the doctoral dissertation is to present the communication strategy that occurs in the works of Krzysztof Varga. Varga's writings have not yet been analyzed in the form of a scientific monograph. The author is very versatile. He creates prose and is a literary critic. He also engages in journalism in which he analyzes postmodern culture and its impact on society. In his texts, he deals with important topics of autobiography and the complex Polish-Hungarian identity. He studies the relationship between an individual and a city, the ways in which the body functions in today's world and the influence of mass culture. The indicated topics implement the planned communication strategy.
