Abstract
Die Beiträge des Bandes verorten die Übersetzung von Kinder- und Jugendliteratur im Spannungsfeld zwischen Ideologisierung und den aus ihnen ausbrechenden, kreativen re-writings und Transcreations.
Auf der einen Seite agieren sowohl die Autor*innen, als auch die Übersetzer*innen von KJL in einem komplexen Feld kommerzieller, medialer, aber auch erziehungspolitischer Gegebenheiten. Oftmals entscheiden außerliterarische Kontexte wie Verlags- oder Erziehungspolitik und das jeweils herrschende ideologische Klima darüber, ob und in welcher Form ein kinderliterarisches Werk in anderen Kulturen Fuß zu fassen vermag. Auf der anderen Seite schaffen Übersetzer*innen kreative re-writings kinderliterarischer Texte, die sich gegen ideologische Vereinnahmung wehren und die ästhetische Autonomie von KJL behaupten. Das Konzept der Transcreation betont die transformativen, transgressiven und kreativen Aspekte der Übersetzung von Kinder- und Jugendliteratur. Der Band versammelt theoretische Zugänge sowie Fallbeispiele aus der anglo-amerikanischen, spanischen, deutschen, finnischen und schwedischen Literatur.
Teksty tomu lokują tłumaczenie literatury dziecięcej i młodzieżowej w obszarze między próbami jej ideologizacji a wyłamującą się z nich twórczą transkreacją tłumaczy. Z jednej strony tłumacze literatury dla dzieci i młodzieży – podobnie jak jej autorzy - działają w złożonym obszarze komercyjnych, medialnych, ale również edukacyjnych i politycznych wpływów. Konteksty pozaliterackie, takie jak polityka wydawnicza czy też edukacyjna, oraz panujący klimat polityczny często decydują o tym, czy i w jakim kształcie dzieło literackie może dotrzeć do dziecięcego odbiorcy i zaistnieć w innej kulturze. Z drugiej strony tłumacze tworzą kreatywne ‘re-writings’ tekstów dla dzieci i młodzieży, które bronią się przed ideologicznym zawłaszczeniem i zachowują estetyczną autonomię literatury dziecięcej. Teksty zebrane w tomie zawierają teoretyczne ujęcia oraz studia przypadków z literatury angloamerykańskiej, hiszpańskiej, niemieckiej, fińskiej oraz szwedzkiej.
The contributions in the volume locate the translation of children’s and youth literature between ideologization and creative re-writings and transcreations. On the one hand, both authors and translations of children’s literature operate in a complex field of commercial, media and educational issues and influences. Non-literary contexts such as publishing or educational policy and the prevailing ideological climate decider whether and in what form a children’s literary work can gain foothold in other cultures. On the other hand, translators perform creative re-writings of children’s literary texts who defend themselves against ideological appropriation or instrumentalization and assert the aesthetic autonomy of children’s literature. The concept of transcreation emphasizes the transformative, transgressive and creative aspects of the translation for children. The volume gathers theoretical approaches and case studies from Anglo-American, Spanish, German, Finnish and Swedish literature.
