SEQUENCE AND RATE OF ERUPTION OF PERMANENT TEETH AND THE ASSESSMENT OF BIOLOGICAL MATURITY. The paper is aimed at describing the properties of individual patterns in eruption of permanent teeth. Eruption sequences and eruption rates of 28 permanent teeth (except the third molars) were analysed in a longitudinal study of 284 boys and 270 girls bom in 1980 and living in Poznań. All children shared a distinct pattern of sequence polymorphisms in terms of location and number. They also differed in eruption rates as a result of variation in maturation. The results obtained provides an additional information about the eruption of permanent teeth to the classical cross sectional standards.Item Czy bliźnięta jednojajowe mają identyczny genotyp?(Polskie Towarzystwo Antropologiczne, 1995) Cichocka, BarbaraDO MONOZYGOTIC TWINS HAVE IDENTICAL GENOTYPES? Recent observation of the fertilization process and further embryonic development concerned with the fate of spermatozoon mitochondria, as well as the results of studies on genetic mechanisms of differentiation and cooperation between the nuclear and mitochondrial genomes allow to conclude that monozygotic twins do not have identical genotypes. The influence of the urbanisation and the accompanied changes of the social structure upon the process of brachycephaly in Poland was investigated. The sample consisted of 65 skeletal populations (about 5500 individuals from the feudal period 9th -19th century).
