Abstract

Dysertacja jest próbą analizy późnej twórczości poety z perspektywy tego, co pozostaje w niej niejednoznaczne, niewypowiedziane lub świadomie pominięte. Analiza obejmuje okres twórczości Różewicza z lat 1991–2014 i koncentruje się na trzech kluczowych obszarach, które poeta celowo unikał lub marginalizował: doświadczenia Zagłady, Polski jako ojczyzny oraz ukrytych aspektów wiary i niewiary. Pierwszy rozdział, Niewypowiedziana Zagłada, opisuje sposób, w jaki Różewicz odnosi się do tematu Holocaustu. Praca skupia się na strategiach milczenia i pominięcia, które poeta stosował w odniesieniu do kwestii żydowskich, a także na znaczeniu powtórzenia jako metody poetyckiej. Drugi rozdział, Przemilczana Polska, bada stosunek Różewicza do ojczyzny, ukazując jego dystans wobec narodowych narracji i marginalizację znaczenia Polski jako elementu tożsamości. Rozdział trzeci omawia późną twórczość Tadeusza Różewicza, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem zbioru. Płaskorzeźba z 1991 roku, od którego datować można zmianę w sposobie opisywania przez poetę doświadczenia religijnego. Rozdział ostatni, Wszystko, co nienapisane, bada związek między biografią poety a jego twórczością. Szczególną uwagę poświęcono publikowanym rękopisom poezji Różewicza, uznając je za sposób przekroczenia granic języka w stronę materialności poezji.

The dissertation analyzes the poet’s late works (1991–2014) through the lens of deliberately omitted themes. The study focuses on three key aspects: the experience of the Holocaust, Poland as a homeland, and hidden declarations of faith and disbelief. The first chapter examines Różewicz’s relationship with the theme of the Holocaust, highlighting conscious silences and the strategy of repetition as a means of returning to the unspoken. The second chapter explores his detachment from national narratives and the marginalization of Poland as an element of identity. The third chapter discusses Tadeusz Różewicz’s late poetry, with particular emphasis on the 1991 publication Płaskorzeźba, which marks a shift in the poet’s approach to religious experience, expressed through the aporia of simultaneous declarations of faith and disbelief. The final chapter examines the relationship between the poet’s biography and his work, emphasizing non-writing as a deliberate artistic choice. Particular attention is given to Różewicz’s published manuscripts, which are interpreted as a means of transcending linguistic limitations—moving toward the materiality of poetry through silence. The dissertation highlights the significance of silence and unwritten in Różewicz’s poetry, demonstrating that the unspoken plays a crucial role in his work.
