STABILISING FUNCTION OF A STATE IN CONTEMPORARY ECONOMIC THEORIES
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to outline the main thesis proposed by representatives of the
mainstream economic theories regarding the stabilising role of a state in the economy. The authors
attempt to present the binding recommendations for a state formulated in Keynesian economics,
monetarism and the new classical economy concerning the mechanisms in which the government
and the central bank may influence the economic processes, and effectively stabilise the economy.
