Abstract

W rozprawie, jak w kubistycznym obrazie, krzyżuje się wiele płaszczyzn porównawczych i pól badawczych. Nakładają się tu i przenikają: trzy języki i obszary kulturowe – polski, czeski i francuski; dwie sfery twórczości artystycznej – literatura i sztuka oraz dwie dziedziny je opisujące – historia sztuki i historia literatury; trzy strategie badawcze – podejście historyczne, teoretyczne i analityczne; trzy metodologie – badań komparatystycznych, intersemiotycznych i badań nad awangardą. Zasadniczy cel pracy to ostateczne rozwianie wątpliwości co do istnienia kubizmu literackiego jako spójnego i konsekwentnego sposobu odbioru i opisu rzeczywistości oraz co do możliwości jego analizy. Rozprawa syntetyzuje więc genezę, rozwój, cechy i recepcję kubizmu literaturze, gromadzi i systematyzuje stan badań, proponuje metodologię do opisu tego zjawiska oraz przedstawia zestaw 12 wyznaczników, ułatwiający analizę tekstu pod kątem kubizmu. Zawiera też modelową egzemplifikację takiej analizy, ukazując funkcjonowanie proponowanego narzędzia na wybranych przykładach tekstów artystycznych (T. Czyżewskiego i J. Čapka). Po drugie, praca ukazuje istotę czynnika kubistycznego dla rozwoju awangard polskiej i czeskiej oraz wskazuje cechę charakterystyczną, łączącą oba kubizmy, a zarazem dywersyfikującą je od kubizmu francuskiego. Po trzecie, zawiera propozycję wyodrębnienia środkowoeuropejskiego wariantu kubizmu w jako oryginalnie przepracowanej i pełnoprawnej odmiany tego kierunku – jest próbą przyznania mu odrębnego miejsca na mapie literackiej i artystycznej awangardy.

In the thesis, as in the cubist painting, there are many fields of comparison and research areas that intersect. Three languages and cultural areas: Polish, Czech and French; two fields of artistic activity: literature and art, as well as two disciplines that describe them: art history and literary studies; three research strategies: historic, theoretical and analytical approaches; three methodologies: of comparative studies, of intersemiotic studies and Avant-Garde studies, overlap and interpenetrate here. The principle objective of the thesis was to definitely dispel all the doubts concerning the existence of literary cubism as a coherent and consistent way of perception and description of reality, as well as the possibility of analyzing it. The dissertation synthesizes thus the origins, the development, the features and the reception of literary cubism, brings together and systematizes the state of existing research, proposes the methodology to describe the issue. Moreover, it offers a set of 12 indicators that are meant to help analyzing the text in respect of cubism. It contains also a model example of such an analysis that shows the functioning of the suggested tool on some chosen artistic texts (by T. Czyżewski and J. Čapek). Secondly, the thesis presents the importance of the cubist element for the development of both Polish and Czech Avant-Garde and indicates a common feature that joins the two cubisms but at the same time distinguish them from the French one. Thirdly, it includes an idea to distinct a Central European variant of cubism as an originally rethought and legitimate version of this movement and to give it a place of its own on the map of the Avant-Garde.
