| dc.description.abstract | W rozprawie zaproponowano zdefiniowanie jednej ze zurbanizowanych form osadnictwa mykeńskiego jako miasta pałacowego, a więc osady złożonej z pałacu, siedziby władzy centralnej zajmującej rdzeń osady oraz dolnego miasta, na które składają się wszystkie budynki znajdujące się poza rdzeniem pałacowym. Osadę można dalej podzielić na strefy, określone dzielnice osady, które można zdefiniować funkcjonalnie i strukturalnie. Podstawowy podział wewnętrzny między elitarną strefą pałacową i otaczającą ją osadą jest zawsze widoczny archeologicznie. W rozprawie zebrano wszystkie opublikowane dane archeologiczne i historyczne dotyczące trzech mykeńskich miast pałacowych – Myken i Tirynsu w Argolidzie oraz Pylos w Mesenii. Porównawcza analiza organizacji każdej osady następuje po obszernym omówieniu wszystkich danych dotyczących fortyfikacji, krajobrazu grobowego i wszystkich znanych budynków. We wszystkich trzech omawianych miastach pałacowych wyróżniono odrębne strefy osadnicze. W Mykenach były to ufortyfikowana Cytadela, Wewnętrzna Strefa Kultowo-Grzebalna oraz Dolne Miasto. W Tirynsie osadę można podzielić na Górną Cytadelę o statusie pałacowym, Dolną Cytadelę pełniącą głównie funkcje gospodarcze oraz Dolne Miasto. W Pylos nieufortyfikowana elitarna Strefa Pałacowe została oddzielona od Wewnętrznej Strefy Kultowo-Grzebalnej oraz Dolnego Miasta. The dissertation proposes to define one of the urban forms of Mycenaean settlements as palatial towns. Those are settlements consisting of a palace, a central authority occupying the elite core of the settlement, and the lower town, composed of all the buildings outside of the palatial core. The settlement can be further divided into zones, specific districts of the settlement that can be functionally and structurally defined. The basic internal division between the palatial elite zone and the settlement surrounding it, is always archaeologically visible. The dissertation collects all the published archaeological and historical data on three Mycenaean palatial towns – Mycenae and Tiryns in the Argolid, and Pylos in Messenia. The settlement analysis with the use of comparative urbanism approach follows the extensive discussion of all the data on the fortifications, funerary landscape and buildings of the three aforementioned sites. Distinct settlement zones were recognized in all three palatial towns under discussion. At Mycenae those were the fortified Citadel, the Inner Cult and Burial Zone, and the Lower Town. At Tiryns the settlement can be divided into the Upper Citadel of palatial status, the Lower Citadel performing mainly economic functions, and the Lower Town. At Pylos the unfortified elite palatial core zone was divided from the Inner Cult and Burial Zone and the Lower Town. | |
