Junior high school pupils' nicknames in a survey: a source of information on young people
Abstract
Prowadząc badania nad doświadczeniami gimnazjalistów, których zachowanie oceniane jest na stopień prosiłam respondentów, by podpisali ankiety pseudonimami. Wybrane przez nich pseudonimy to interesujący materiał badawczy. W tekście odchodzę od analizy problemów zawartych w temacie moich badań. Próbuję na pseudonimy, którymi podpisywali się badani, spojrzeć jako na zachowania komunikacyjne, teksty o sobie, przez których pryzmat można na nowo odczytać wypowiedzi, jako na źródło wiedzy o młodzieży i kulturze, w której żyjemy.
In the course of research into the experience of junior high school pupils whose conduct is marked, I asked my respondents to sign the surveys with their nicknames. The nicknames that they chose are an interesting research material. In the text I have departed from analysing the issues within the scope of my research. It is my attempt to view the subjects' nicknames as examples of communication behaviour, texts about themselves that can provide a new angle to see their answers from, and as a source of knowledge about young people and the culture that we live in.
