Occupational therapy for people of late adulthood at the Daytime Social Aid Homes - current status, tasks and desirable directions of changes
Abstract
Dysertacja doktorska pt. Terapia zajęciowa dla osób w wieku późnej dorosłości prowadzona w Dziennych Domach Pomocy Społecznej – stan aktualny, zadania i pożądane kierunki zmian, dotyczy zagadnień związanych ze stosowaniem terapii zajęciowej w usprawnianiu i aktywizowaniu osób w okresie późnej dorosłości. W trzech pierwszych rozdziałach omówione zostały teoretyczne podstawy pracy. Pierwszy z nich poświęcony jest późnej dorosłości. Rozdział drugi koncentruje się na prezentacji aktualnej oferty zajęć skierowanej do osób w tym wieku. Przedmiot rozdziału trzeciego stanowi terapia zajęciowa (definicje i koncepcje teoretyczne dotyczące tej formy terapii funkcjonujące w Polsce i poza Polską, ustawy i rozporządzenia regulujące prowadzenie terapii zajęciowej i kształcenie terapeutów zajęciowych w Polsce). Rozdział czwarty poświęcony został przedstawieniu metodologicznych założeń badań własnych. W rozdziale piątym zaprezentowane zostały wyniki badań przeprowadzonych we wszystkich samodzielnych Dziennych Domach Pomocy Społecznej w Poznaniu. Wyniki zostały podzielone na dwie części – pierwszą, prezentującą informacje uzyskane w efekcie wywiadów przeprowadzonych z terapeutami zajęciowymi, oraz drugą – przedstawiającą wyniki badań kwestionariuszowych przeprowadzonych na grupie uczestników terapii zajęciowej. Rozdział ostatni zawiera ogólne refleksje na temat stosowania tej formy usprawniania osób w okresie późnej dorosłości w Polsce.
Doctoral dissertation titled Occupational therapy for people of late adulthood at the Daytime Social Aid Homes - current status, tasks and desirable directions of changes, concerns issues related to the use of occupational therapy in improving and activating people in the period of late adulthood. In the first three chapters, the theoretical basis of work was discussed. The first one is devoted to late adulthood. The second chapter focuses on the presentation of the current offer of activities addressed to people in late adulthood. The subject of the third chapter covers the issue of occupational therapy (definitions and theoretical concepts concerning this form of therapy functioning in Poland and outside Poland, laws and regulations regulating occupational therapy and training occupational therapists in Poland). The fourth chapter is devoted to the presentation of the methodological assumptions of own research. The fifth chapter presents the results of research carried out on the premises of all independent Daytime Social Assistance Centers operating in Poznań. The results were divided into two arts - the first one presenting information obtained as a result of interviews conducted with occupational therapists, and the second one - presenting the results of questionnaire surveys carried out on a group of occupational therapy participants. The last chapter, which complements the thesis, contains general reflections on the use of this form of improving people during late adulthood in Poland.
