Mobile phone communication in adolescents - educational perspective
Abstract
Celem pracy jest zbadanie stopnia wykorzystania telefonu komórkowego przez adolescentów w komunikowaniu się ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem funkcji edukacyjnej. Cel ten osiągnięto dzięki zogniskowanemu wywiadowi grupowemu oraz badaniom ankietowym (sondażowi diagnostycznemu). Rozdział pierwszy dotyczy współczesnych form komunikowania, włączając komunikowanie elektroniczne, natomiast drugi opisuje telefon komórkowy, jako medialne narzędzie intelektualne dostępne adolescentowi. Przedstawiam jego historię i bardzo szybko przebiegający rozwój. Analizuję także dostępne i potencjalne usługi oraz możliwe zastosowania, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem edukacji oraz zagrożeń wynikających z jego użytkowania. W rozdziale trzecim przedstawiam portret adolescenta, ukazując jego drogę rozwoju prowadzącą do osiągnięcia dojrzałej tożsamości.
The purpose of this study is to examine the degree of adolescents' cell phone usage in the communication – with particular emphasis on educational functions. This purpose was achieved through focused group interviews and by questionnaire (diagnosis).The first chapter is about the contemporary forms of communication, including electronic communication, while the second chapter describes mobile phones as a media, intellectual tools available for adolescent. I present the history of mobile phone and its very quick development. I also analyze available and potential services and available applications with particular emphasis on education and the threats resulting from its use. The third chapter presents portrait of an adolescent, showing his/her way of development leading to the achievement of mature identity.
