How mathematics influences students
What processes take place during classes conducted by academic teachers, what affects good communication
with the students, how the quality of teaching can be improved, how to evoke interest
in the subject, which methods and techniques used by the teachers are most effective? The aim of
this article is to answer the questions stated above. It presents and analyses the results of a survey
devoted to the methodological approach of young academic teachers and how their efforts are
perceived by their students. The conclusions can be helpful for both the students and the teachers of
mathematical subjects.
