Occupational Choice among the Youth of Complexes of Vocational Schools
Abstract
Współczesna rzeczywistość znamionuje się niestałością, permanentną zmianą i dynamizmem przeobrażeń. Stwarza nowe możliwości wkomponowywania się w przestrzenie społeczne, co sprzyja samorealizacji oraz podmiotowemu zaistnieniu w zglobalizowanym społeczeństwie. Dysertacja doktorska pt. „Orientacje zawodowe młodzieży z Zespołów Szkół Zawodowych” odnosi się do problematyki kształtowania nastawień młodzieży w stosunku do własnej przyszłości zawodowej. Uznając, że strefa życia zawodowego pochłania coraz większy wycinek egzystencji człowieka - zagadnienie kariery oraz planowania przyszłości zawodowej, stanowi interesujący kognitywnie przedmiot badań. Dociekliwość badawcza, nie bez powodu została skierowana na młodzież z Zespołów Szkół Zawodowych. W perspektywie niedalekiej przyszłości stanie się ona bowiem kreatorem rynku pracy. Ponadto, mając na uwadze, że postrzegana jest ona jako grupa, która „już wybrała swój zawód”, jednym z celów prowadzonych analiz było sprawdzenie, czy podejmowane przez uczniów tego rodzaju placówek edukacyjnych decyzje, uznawane są przez nich za trafne. Orientacja zawodowa stanowi konstrukt bardzo zmienny, wyróżniający się dynamiczną naturą, co dowodzi tego, iż jego jednoznaczne dookreślenie nie należy do zadań najprostszych. W niniejszej pracy podjęto zatem próbę usystematyzowania doczasowej wiedzy na temat orientacji zawodowych oraz ich wnikliwej eksploracji w wyniku badań naukowych, których rezultatem okazały się interesujące poznawczo spostrzeżenia, istotne dla teorii i praktyki doradztwa zawodowego.
The contemporary reality distinguishes itself by its inconstancy, permanent change, and dynamism of transformation. It creates new possibilities for the individual to incorporate themselves into social spaces, which fact favours their self-fulfilment and coming into being as a subject in the globalised society. The doctoral dissertation entitled Occupational Choice among the Youth of Complexes of Vocational Schools regards issues of shaping the youth's attitude towards their own professional future. Given the fact that career realm absorbs bigger and bigger part of the human existence, the notions of career and professional career planning are becoming cognitively interesting objects of study. It is not without reason that the research interest sheds light on the youth of Complexes of Vocational Schools. In the near future, this group is going to become a creator of the labour market. Furthermore, it is believed that its members "has already chosen their professions" - therefore, it was one of the objectives of the research to verify if decisions made by the students of those kinds of educational entities are accurate from their point of view. The occupational choice is a very changeable and flexible construct outstanding because of its dynamic nature, which demonstrates how difficult may be its unambiguous specification. Thus, in this thesis, an attempt was made to systematise the knowledge about the occupational choice hitherto obtained and explore it thoroughly in view of the scientific research whose results are extremely interesting from the point of view of the career counselling practise.
