Educational Situations of Bilingual Students with Learning Disabilities at School Hand in Hand
Abstract
W pracy podjęta zostanie problematyka sytuacji edukacyjnej uczniów dwujęzycznych z trudnościami w uczeniu się w szkole Stowarzyszenia Hand in Hand w Jerozolimie. Praca składa się z czterech części. W pierwszej części, teoretycznej w kontekście literatury przedmiotu omówiono następujące zagadnienia: dwujęzyczność, trudności w uczeniu się, okres dzieciństwa, okres szkolny, ekologiczną teorię Uri Bronfenbrennera i Wielowymiarowy Model Rozwoju, specyfikę społeczeństwa izraelskiego oraz system edukacji w Izraelu. Druga część pracy to część metodologiczna. Badania ulokowane zostało w paradygmacie jakościowym z wykorzystaniem studium przypadku. Dotyczyło ono sytuacji edukacyjnej uczniów dwujęzycznych z trudnościami w uczeniu się w szkole dwujęzycznej w kontekście trzech systemów – chronosystemu, makrosytemu i mikrosystemu. W części trzeciej pracy dokonano analizy otrzymanych wyników badań w kontekście trzech systemów zgodnych z ekologicznym modelem – chronosystemu, makrosystemu, mikrosystemu. Część czwarta pracy zawiera wnioski wypływające z badań. Przeprowadzone badania mogą stanowić inspirację do dalszych eksploracji badawczych oraz rekomendacje dla praktyki pedagogicznej.
This research study addresses the topic of the educational situations of bilingual students with learning disabilities in the school of the Hand in Hand Association in Jerusalem. The research study consists of four main parts. The first part is the theoretical part, which discusses the following topics from the viewpoint of the literature: bilingualism, learning disabilities, the period of childhood, the period of the school, the ecological theory of Uri Bronfenbrenner and the Multidimensional Developmental Model, Israeli society, and the education system in Israel. The second part is the methodological part, describing the methodology of the research study. The present research study is a qualitative research study, which makes use of a case study. The research study explores the educational situations of bilingual students with learning disabilities in the bilingual school in the context of three systems – the chronosystem, the macrosystem, and the microsystem. The third part is the part that presents the analysis of the findings. This part analyzes the research findings in the context of the three systems according to the ecological model of Bronfenbrenner – the chronosystem, the macrosystem, and the microsystem. The fourth part is the part that addresses the conclusions and the recommendations of the research study. The conducted research can be an inspiration for further research and recommendations in the area of broadly understood pedagogical practice.
