Development of the lobbying in Poland
Abstract
The paper focuses on the impact of lobbying on the transformation of the economy in Poland.
These economic transformations were the result of the activities of two lobbying groups: the one of
the employers and the one of the employees, both acting in highly organised formations. In the case
of the employees’ organisations, The Independent Self-Governing Trade Union Solidarity played
a significant role, especially in the first years of Poland’s economic transformations. Parliamentary
attempts to regulate lobbying activities by means of a legal act are also discussed.
