The lexis from the thematic field INTERIOR FITTINGS OF A COUNTRY HOUSE in the speech of the inhabitants of the Poddębice area
Abstract
Celem rozprawy jest charakterystyka leksyki dotyczącej wyposażenia wnętrz wiejskich domów w języku mieszkańców okolic Poddębic (woj. łódzkie; pogranicze małopolsko-wielkopolskie) oparta na klasyfikacji tematycznej. Szczególną uwagę poświęcono frekwencji słów ogólnopolskich i dyferencyjnych oraz zróżnicowaniu pokoleniowemu.
Materiał stanowią nagrane rozmowy z mieszkańcami pow. poddębickiego, które przeprowadzono na podstawie kwestionariusza (460 pytań). Z materiału wyekscerpowano 2779 leksemów dotyczących wyposażenia domów. Rozprawa składa się z trzech części i wprowadzenia.
Część pierwsza przedstawia najważniejsze zagadnienia teoretyczne, metody i narzędzia badawcze wykorzystane w pracy. Opisano w niej m.in. najważniejsze klasyfikacje tematyczne, podstawowe terminy i stan badań.
Drugą częścią jest „Część analityczna”, która zawiera analizę zebranego materiału z podziałem na 11 subpól tematycznych i 66 mikropól. W analizie skupiono się na znaczeniu słów w kontekstach oraz relacjach semantycznych. Wykorzystano też metodę ilościową do ukazania dynamiki zmian zachodzących w języku.
Ostatnią część stanowi „Zakończenie” będące podsumowaniem przeprowadzonych badań. Zawiera także refleksje na temat opisu dawnych i współczesnych desygnatów oraz zmian zachodzących w języku i kulturze mieszkańców wsi.
The aim of the thesis is to describe the lexis concerning the furnishings of rural houses in the language of the inhabitants of the Poddębice area (Łódź voivodeship; Małopolska-Wielkopolska borderland) based on thematic classification. Special attention was paid to the frequency of general and differential words and generational differentiation.
The material consists of recorded interviews with residents of Poddębice district, which were conducted on the basis of a questionnaire (460 questions). From the material, 2779 lexemes concerning home furnishings were extracted. The thesis consists of 3 parts and an introduction.
The first part presents the main theoretical issues, methods and research tools used in the work. It describes, a.o. the most important thematic classifications, basic terms and the state of research.
The second part is the “Analytical Part”, which contains an analysis of the collected material divided into 11 thematic subfields and 66 microfields. The analysis focuses on the meaning of words in the contexts and semantic relationships. A quantitative method was also used to show the dynamics of changes occurring in the language.
The last part is the “Conclusion” which is a summary of the research conducted. It also includes reflections on the description of ancient and modern designators and the changes taking place in the language and culture of villagers.
