Karl Rahner's theology of everyday life in the face of anthropological premises of postmodernity
Abstract
Dysertacja pt. „Teologia codzienności Karla Rahnera wobec antropologicznych przesłanek ponowoczesności” jest próbą zbadania hipotezy, czy teologia codzienności daje perspektywę dla prowadzenia życia duchowego, zgodnego z zasadami duchowości katolickiej. Przy jednoczesnym uwzględnieniu ponowoczesnego kontekstu, w którym żyje człowiek podejmujący życie duchowe. W celu zbadania hipotezy omówiono antropologiczne przesłanki wynikające z ponowoczesnego kontekstu społeczno-kulturowego. Wyodrębniono indywidualizm, konsumpcjonizm i globalizację. Następnie przedstawiono różnie pomiędzy duchowością ponowoczesną a duchowością katolicką w kontekście ponowoczesnej. W dalszej części ukazano najważniejsze, ze względu na teologię codzienności, elementy teologii Rahnera: antropologiczny zwrot teologii i metodę transcendentalną. Ostatni rozdział jest omówieniem teologii codzienności Rahnera ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem pojęcia łaski i modlitwy. Dzięki darmowej łasce człowiek doświadcza codzienności jako miejsca, w którym przebywa ukryty Bóg. Akceptując codzienność wchodzi w dialog z Tajemnicą, nawet jeśli nie zdaje sobie tego sprawy. Dialog ten realizuje na różnych sposób; w modlitwie miłości, modlitwie w codzienności, modlitwie niedoli, czyli błagalnej, także w modlitwie winy i modlitwie decyzji. A także przedstawiono pogląd Rahnera na to, w jaki sposób będzie kształtowała się postawa chrześcijanina w przyszłości.
Dissertation entitled "Karl Rahner's Theology of Everyday Life in the Face of Anthropological Premodernities of Postmodernity" is an attempt to examine the hypothesis whether theology of everyday life offers a perspective for leading a spiritual life in accordance with the principles of Catholic spirituality. At the same time taking into account the postmodern context in which a person who takes up a spiritual life lives. In order to test the hypothesis, the resulting anthropological premises are discussed from the postmodern socio-cultural context. Individualism, consumerism and globalization were distinguished. Then, different between postmodern spirituality and Catholic spirituality are presented in a postmodern context. In the following part, the most important elements of Rahner's theology: the anthropological turn of theology and the transcendental method, are presented in terms of the theology of everyday life. The last chapter is an overview of Rahner's theology of everyday life with particular emphasis on the notions of grace and prayer. Thanks to grace, man experiences everyday life as a hidden place for God. By accepting everyday life, he enters into a dialogue with the Mystery, even if he is not aware of it. It carries out this dialogue in various ways; in prayer of love, prayer in everyday life, prayer of misfortune, that is, pleading, also in the prayer of guilt and the prayer of decision. It also presents Rahner's view of how the attitude of a Christian will be shaped in the future.
