Postawy rodzicielskie a refleksyjność matek dzieci z zaburzeniami ze spektrum autyzmu

| dc.description.abstract | Refleksyjność jest zdolnością do rozpoznawania i regulowania procesów emocjonalnych u siebie i innych osób w celu rozumienia oraz przewidywania własnych, jak i cudzych zachowań. Celem badań było określenie nasilenia negatywnych postaw rodzicielskich oraz poziomu refleksyjności matek dzieci z ASD, a także weryfikacja założeń o buforowym wpływie refleksyjności na postawy rodzicielskie. Wyniki nie potwierdziły zaproponowanego modelu zależności między zmiennymi. Matki dzieci z ASD nie przejawiały bardziej nasilonych negatywnych postaw rodzicielskich, ani niższego poziomu refleksyjności niż matki dzieci prawidłowo rozwijających się. Pogłębiona analiza wyników zasugerowała wręcz, iż matki z grupy badanej dokonują refleksji lepiej. Kluczową emocją w ich doświadczeniach jest niepokój o dziecko. Nad tym stanem, jak również nad własną radością w kontakcie z dzieckiem, poczuciem jego utraty, cierpieniem w relacji z nim oraz własną potrzebą wsparcia matkom tym najtrudniej było dokonywać refleksji. Ponadto, matki dzieci z ASD ujawniły niższy poziom refleksji nad własnymi emocjami i potrzebami niż stanami mentalnymi własnych dzieci. Wydaje się, że eksploracja doświadczeń emocjonalnych matek dzieci z ASD może przyczynić się do ich jeszcze lepszej refleksji zarówno nad własnym umysłem, jak i umysłem dzieci. Tym samym, refleksyjne wsparcie zaoferowane matkom, może stanowić skuteczną metodę wspomagania rozwoju dzieci z zaburzeniami ze spektrum autyzmu. | pl_PL |
| dc.description.abstract | Reflectiveness is an ability to identify and regulate emotional processes in self and others in order to understand and anticipate own and others’ behaviors. The aim of this study was to assess the level of negative parental attitudes and reflectiveness of mothers of children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD), as well as to verify whether there is a relation between reflectiveness and parental attitudes. The results did not confirm the validity of proposed model. Mothers of children with ASD did not show more negative parental attitudes towards their children, as well as were not less reflective than mothers of children without ASD. The results even suggested that mothers of children with ASD may be more reflective than control mothers. The key mental state for those mothers was anxiety about the child. This emotion, as well as joy in relationship with the child, feelings of loss of the child, pain in relationship with the child and mother’s neediness, was the hardest to reflect on. What is more, mothers of children with ASD showed lower level of reflectiveness due to their own mental states than due to mental states of their children. Presumably, exploration of emotional experiences of motherhood of mothers of children with ASD may improve their reflectiveness on both, own and child’s mental states. This suggests that reflective support offered by professionals to mothers of children with ASD may have therapeutic value for children with autism spectrum disorders. | pl_PL |
