Roślinność łąk i pastwisk Ziemi Lubuskiej – zróżnicowanie wobec zmian krajobrazu w II połowie XX wieku.

Abstract

Celem pracy jest odpowiedź na pytanie, w jaki sposób typ krajobrazu, jego zmieniająca się struktura oraz forma i intensywność użytkowania (management) wpływają na szatę roślinną (plant cover) łąk i pastwisk regionu, a szczególnie na stan i rozmieszczenie jej najcenniejszych elementów. Analiza zebranych danych na trzech poziomach organizacji wskazuje, że różnodność szaty roślinnej regionu jest wciąż wysoka - stwierdzono 530 gatunków roślin, 45 zbiorowisk roślinnych oraz 10 typów kompleksów zbiorowisk roślinnych. Intensywność użytkowania, typ i struktura krajobrazu okazały się istotnymi czynnikami wpływającymi na różnorodność flory i roślinności. Analiza struktury krajobrazu na historycznych mapach (1909-1946) oraz na zdjęciach lotniczych (1963-2006) wykazała, że powierzchnia użytków zielonych zmniejszyła się w ostatnich dziesięcioleciach. Szczególnie wyraźne, kierunkowe zmiany zaobserwowano w dolinach małych rzek. Analiza metryk krajobrazowych wskazuje na fragmentację łąk oraz wydłużenie ich granicy z innymi formacjami, takimi jak lasy, zarośla czy pola uprawne. Zmiany te mają w większości przypadków negatywny wpływ na stan zachowania szaty roślinnej łąk i pastwisk, jednak renaturyzacja wynikająca z ekstensyfikacji użytkowania może przyczynić się do lokalnego zwiększenia jej różnorodności oraz utrzymania niektórych gatunków i zbiorowisk ginących.

The purpose of this dissertation is to answer the question, how the landscape type, its changing structure and intensity of management affect the vegetation of meadows and pastures, especially at the condition and distribution of its most valuable elements. The investigations were made on three levels of plant cover organisation: flora, vegetation and landscape. The analysis of flora and vegetation shows that the diversity of meadows and pastures in the region is still high - it comprises 530 species, 45 communities and 10 types of phytocomplexes. All gathered data were compiled in the data base. The analysis of these data shows, that the intensity of management, flood and structure of landscape are important factors affecting diversity of plant species and plant communities. The comparison of landscape structure on historical maps (1909-1946) and on a series of aerial photographs (1963-2006) has shown, that the general tendency is the reduction of grasslands surface. The most distinct, directional changes in seminatural landscapes were observed in the valleys of small rivers. The analysis of landscape metrics shows disintegration of meadows and elongation of their border with other communities (forests, shrubs or arable fields). In most cases, the changes have a negative impact on the maintenance of grasslands. However, renaturalisation following extensification of land use may contribute to increament of local biodiversity and to protection of endangered species and communities.
