Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to examine the biographical determinants of sexuality of people in their early adulthood. Based on the concept of life-span psychology, it was assumed that the image of sexuality of a human adult consists of events and experiences from earlier phases of development, which in varying degrees, can affect the quality and type of subsequent experiences. Taking into account the fact that inclusion in the survey of all the probable circumstances is impossible, by necessity the author limited the scope of research to explore only three aspects: biographical events, the intensity of the experienced sexual need at different periods of life and models of sex education preferred in the family, school and among one's peers. It also seemed important to examine what emotions accompanied these selected elements of sexual biographies and what importance was given by the subjects to these events for their sex life.
