W stronę deziluzji rzeczywistości. Fikcja i referencja w czeskiej literaturze postmodernistycznej po 1989 roku

| dc.description.abstract | Rozprawa jest próbą analizy wybranych tekstów z obszaru czeskiej literatury postmodernistycznej, związanej z tzw. nurtem imaginacyjnym lub też „generacją skradzionej opowieści”. Przyglądam się twórczości Michala Ajvaza, Danieli Hodrovej, Jiřígo Kratochvila, konfrontując ją także z utworami pisarzy z młodszej generacji – Jáchym Topol, Miloš Urban. Fikcja i referencja, traktowane explicite jako przedmiot dysertacji, stanowią zagadnienie warte uwagi szczególnie w odniesieniu do literatury nadal niejednoznacznie, także w Czechach, określanej jako postmodernistyczna. Przyjrzenie się roli owych kategorii w literaturze czeskiej wydaje się zasadne w obliczu dylematów wyłaniających się na tle dyskusji na temat (obecności/nieobecności) postmodernizmu traktowanego, z jednej strony, jako pokłosie modernizmu, z drugiej – jako jego kontestacja. W rozprawie poszukuję odpowiedzi na pytanie o to, co warunkuje „postkomunistyczny postmodernizm”, jak ma się on do „tragedii Europy Środkowej”? Jak czeska krytyka, środowiska literackie oraz naukowe zareagowały na kres Wielkich Narracji? Czy istnieje związek między „postawą surrealistyczną” a postmodernizmem? A nade wszystko – w jaki sposób kryzys referencji wybrzmiewa w tekstach pisarzy, którzy po 1989 roku, jak twierdzi Kratochvil, pozostali w poczuciu „autystycznej i solipsystycznej izolacji”? | pl |
| dc.description.abstract | The thesis is an attempt to analyze selected texts from the area of Czech postmodern literature, which are related to the so called imaginative trend or “generation of a stolen tale”. I scrutinize works of Michal Ajvaz, Daniela Hodrová and Jiří Kratochvil, confronting them with literary works of writers from younger generation - Jáchym Topol and Miloš Urban. Fiction and reference, which are the main subject of this dissertation, are an issue worth noting, especially in relation to literature which is still ambiguously (also in the Czech Republic) qualified as “postmodern”. Looking at the role of these categories in Czech literature seems justified in the face of dilemmas emerging in the context of discussions on the subject of postmodernism (its presence/absence), treated on the one hand as the aftermath of modernism, and on the other - as its contestation. In the dissertation, I am looking for an answer to the question about the conditions of "post-communist postmodernism", how does it relate to the "tragedy of Central Europe"? How did Czech critics, literary and scientific circles react to the end of “Grand narratives”? Is there a connection between "surrealistic orientation" and postmodernism? And above all - how does the crisis of reference resound in the texts of writers who, after 1989, remained in (according to Kratochvil) a sense of "autistic and solipsist isolation"? | pl |
