Dwie twarze humanistyki. Rozproszenie a spójność – terminy i pojęcia

Abstract

W treści rozprawy przyglądam się terminom i pojęciom z zakresu nauk humanistycznych. Polem obserwacji czynię teksty współczesnego polskiego literaturoznawstwa, wydane w latach 2004-2019. W bazie liczącej 97 artykułów i 3 monografie znalazły się opracowania na temat Inności z zakresu m.in. studiów kulturowych, postkolonialnych czy genderowych, opublikowane w wydawnictwach uniwersyteckich oraz na łamach punktowanych czasopism naukowych. Praca składa się z dwu części: naukoznawczej oraz językoznawczej. W pierwszej omawiam specyfikę nauki, własny światopogląd badawczy, a także wymagania stawiane przed językiem nauki. Na tak zarysowanym tle opisuję humanistykę (i jej odwieczne problemy). W drugiej wskazuję perspektywę lingwistyczną, z jakiej patrzę na zgromadzone dane (lingwistyka kulturowa) oraz dochodzę do dwu hipotez (o rozproszeniu i spójności), które dalej weryfikuję. Analizy leksyki zgromadzonych danych i stopni jej fachowości doprowadzają mnie do wskazania mechanizmów: a) rozproszenia terminów, b) rozproszenia terminologicznego, co dowodzi prawdziwości pierwszej hipotezy. Drugą potwierdzają natomiast wyniki badań nad metaforami – mowa wówczas o spójnym modelowaniu pojęcia INNEGO w kategoriach SUBSTANCJI. Na koniec interpretuję pojęcie SUBSTANCJI (jako przedmiot kultury) i dochodzę do wniosku o potocznym uwarunkowaniu metafory modelującej dyskurs o Inności.

In the content of the thesis I take a look at the terms and concepts from the field of humanities. The field of observation are texts of contemporary Polish literary studies published in the years 2004-2019. In the database of 98 articles and 2 monographs there are studies on Otherness in the field of, among others, cultural, postcolonial and gender studies, which were published in university publishing houses and on the pages of scored scientific journals. The study consists of two parts: scientific and linguistic. In the first part I discuss the specificity of science, my own research outlook and also the requirements set for the language of science. Against this outlined background I describe the humanities (and its eternal problems). In the second, I indicate the linguistic perspective from which I view the collected data (Cultural Linguistic) and arrive at two hypotheses (about dispersion and coherence), which I further verify. Analyses of lexis and its degrees of expertise lead me to identify the mechanisms of: a) dispersion of terms, b) terminological dispersion, which proves the truth of the first hypothesis. The second one, on the other hand, is confirmed by the results of the research on metaphors - we are then talking about a coherent modeling of the notion of the OTHER in terms of SUBSTANCE. Finally, I interpret the notion of SUBSTANCE (as a cultural object) and conclude that the condition of the existence of a metaphor modeling the discourse on Otherness is unscientific.
