Social, economical and cultural determinants of differentiation of the junior high school exam scores in the Krzywin borough
Abstract
Głównym celem rozprawy jest określenie zależności między zróżnicowaniem wyników egzaminów gimnazjalnych uczniów Gminy Krzywiń, a czynnikami społeczno-kulturowymi i ekonomicznymi. Praca ta składa się z sześciu rozdziałów. Pierwsze trzy konstruują teoretyczną i metodyczną podstawę pracy, trzy ostanie jej empiryczną część. Rozdział pierwszy poświęcony jest przeobrażeniom edukacyjnym w Polsce w okresie transformacji oraz zmianom systemu oświaty związanym z wprowadzeniem reform po 1989 roku. W rozdziale drugim zaprezentowane zostały treści dotyczące zasobów ludzkich. Zdefiniowano takie pojęcia jak: kapitał ludzki, społeczny, kulturowy i ekonomiczny. Rozdział trzeci przedstawia koncepcję badawczą. Część empiryczna pracy prezentuje opracowania dotyczące wskazania zróżnicowania wyników egzaminów gimnazjalnych uczniów Gminy Krzywiń, oraz istniejących zasobów poszczególnych kapitałów – społecznego, kulturowego i ekonomicznego oraz ich związku z wynikami wyżej wspomnianych egzaminów. Na ostatnich kartach pracy podjęto próbę sformułowania wniosków i postulatów, jakie nasunęły się w wyniku analizy materiału badawczego.
The main aim of this thesis is to present the correlation between the diversity of the results of the junior high school exam of students from Krzywiń county and socio-cultural and economic factors. The thesis consists of six chapters. The first three of them construct the theoretical and methodical basis of the work, the remaining three its empirical part. The first chapter deals with the educational transformations in Poland in the period of transformation and the changes in educational system connected with the reforms introduced after the year 1989. In the second chapter the contents concerning human resources were presented. The following concepts were defined: human capital, social capital, economic capital, cultural capital. Chapter number three is the research work. The emipirical part presents the studies that show the diversity of the junior high school exam results in Krzywin county and the existing capitals, such associal, cultural, economic ones and their correlation between the above mentioned exam results. On the latter pages of the thesis it was attemted to formulate the conclusions and postulates that had arisen in the course of the research work analysis.
