Questions about the status and existence of value have not brought solutions. The ontological status of value depends on what we consider its essence. In gaming, attempts to define value appear to be ineffective. It may be worth explaining with constitutive features which goes into its essence. Constructive and universal values are crucial for education and educational disciplines. They are subject of argument escalated by postmodernism. Does the contemporary individual experience a value crisis? Or maybe it is a crisis of the individual, not the value? Values take an important position in the lives of young Poles. Values decide about their existence, sense and quality of living, interpersonal relations, relation to themselves, peers, parents, teachers and the world. Thus, values in education and educational disciplines require regaining their proper position and sense.
