Item Reseña de Justyna Ziarkowska: Ucieczka do głębi. O surrealizmie w literaturze hiszpańskiej przed 1936. Editorial Universidad de Wrocław (Uniwersytet Wrocławski), Wrocław 2010, Págs. 338(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2014-03-29) Wachowska, JudytaItem Item La memoria de la violencia: las consecuencias del conflicto armado contra Sendero Luminoso representadas en una película y dos novelas peruanas(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2014-03-29) Sagermann Bustinza, LeonorThe peculiar situation of violence experienced in Peru of the 1980s and the 1990s shows a society immersed in the trauma, suffering and pain. The literature as well as the film have become a means to reflect the painful experience of the society. The aim of this article is to analyse some of the main characters of the novels: 'La hora azul' (2005) by Alonso Cueto, 'Abril rojo' by Santiago Roncagliolo (2006), and the film: 'La teta asustada' (2009) by Patricia Llosa in order to show the effects of traumatic experiences of the past and an attempt to return to normal life.Item Siete 'Miniaturas medievales': el poema 'Miniatura średniowieczna' de Wisława Szymborska en sus traducciones al español, portugués, francés, inglés y alemán(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2014-03-29) Studzińska, JoannaThe article analyzes seven translations of the poem 'Miniatura średniowieczna' written by the Polish poet and Nobel Prize laureate Wisława Szymborska. The translations are into five languages: Spanish (2), Portuguese, French, English (2) and German. The poem can be construed as an ekphrasis of the illuminated manuscripts of the Late Gothic. The 'Très Riches Heures du Duc de Berry' are cited as a possible source of inspiration. The poem’s stylistics reflect – or rather deconstruct – the philosophical and aesthetic values of the Late Middle Ages. In translation, the main points to consider are the creative use of superlatives and diminutives, as well as that of idioms, which the poet transforms, drawing attention to their cognitive origins. The different morpho-syntactic properties of the target languages offer varied possibilities of rendering the key elements. However, the aptitude of the translator is of even greater importance.Item Aspectos positivos de las infl uencias intralingüísticas en el proceso de adquisición de L2(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2014-03-29) Mikołajczak, SylwiaThe processes that take place in the mind of a multilingual person during the second language acquisition are mostly shrouded in mystery. We can only observe traces of these processes manifesting themselves in the interpenetration of two or more linguistic systems. The current study aims to recognize how the knowledge of L1, in this case Spanish, influences on the acquisition and usage of the target language – Portuguese (L2), and how to take advantage of the interferences to make the L2 learners succeed. The possibility of linguistic influences grows with each acquired language. There are also important contributing factors such as a degree of similarity between the languages, a level of proficiency in each of them, and the manner and time of a language acquisition. During the Portuguese course at the Spanish Philology, we can observe such phenomena as: code switching or total displacement, hybrids, false friends, multi-word units calquing, and morphogrammatical transfer. Although one of the factors that affects the L2 acquisition is the level of proficiency, the students hardly take advantage of their mother tongue, selecting the language typologically closer to Portuguese, Spanish. The students use the previously acquired knowledge to create analogies that should be considered as an intermediate step in the acquisition of L2, not as something negative, but rather a means for providing a starting point for the analysis of error which, consequently, leads to improvement.Item Análisis microgenético del proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de la traducción. Informe de una investigación en proceso(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2014-03-29) Ortiz Lovillo, María del PilarThe following paper describes the microgenetic analysis of the translation process of 'Le Petit Chaperon Rouge' carried out by six students during the Translation Seminar of Scientific and Literary Texts and its Didactics, instructed at the Institute of Research in Education of the University of Veracruz. This article’s purpose is to demonstrate the process which was carried out during the microgenetic analysis, as well as to give an initial report of its results and the advantages that this kind of analysis could represent for the translation teaching-learning process. Furthermore, we describe the computer program called El Espía, which enabled us to explore thoroughly and automatically the students’ translation process, in order to identify learning scenarios and carried out a microgenetic analysis.Item La problemática de la comunicación intercultural: consideraciones didácticas para la enseñanza de las lenguas(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2014-03-29) Spychała, MałgorzataThe coexistence of different nations, races i.e. cultures in the same social space that could be a country, a village or even a company is already a fact. Nowadays, not taking into account the tools of intercultural communication may result in damaging every communicative act. We believe that there is a necessity for revising and explaining the concepts related to the subject of intercultural communication from the perspective of foreign language teaching. In this article we will discuss such concepts as: interculturalism, transculturation, acculturation, integration, identity, etc. We will also look into the origin of intercultural communication. All these reflections will bring us closer to the intercultural competence which, in our opinion, students of foreign languages, i.e. intercultural speakers, should possess. In conclusion, we present the main objectives of the Common Frame of Reference for the Languages of the Council of Europe (2002) with regard to intercultural education.Item Disponibilidad léxica en diferentes niveles de español/lengua extranjera(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2014-03-29) Šifrar Kalan, MarjanaThe objective of this study is to present the lexical availability in Slovene students of Spanish FL through the application of lexico-statistical methodology. The lexical availability of eleven semantic categories is compared quantitatively and qualitatively in two different level groups of students of Spanish FL: 100 high-school students (with approximate level B1) and 100 university students (with approximate level B2+). The similarities and differences according to different levels of Spanish are presented.Item La estructura interna del léxico disponible en español como lengua extranjera (ELE) de los preuniversitarios polacos(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2014-03-29) López González, Antonio MaríaThe technique for collecting available lexicon is based on surveys of open lists in which for two minutes informants recorded all the words that come to mind in relation to each center of interest, up to a total of 16 thematic stimuli. These stimuli were defined by Gougenheim et al. (1964) as the most universally representative semantic sectors. However, those centers of interest 'are disparate semantic categories: its ontogeny, their internal organization, nor its reach are the same' (Hernández Muñoz, 2006: 134). This article characterizes the centers of interest of the available lexicon tests and examines the taxonomies of the centers of interest proposed by different authors. Finally, it analyzes the organization of the lexical repertoires of Spanish as a Foreign Language, produced by a sample of 120 students from 3rd year in bilingual high school with Spanish in Warsaw (XXXIV Liceum), Kraków (VI Liceum) and Łódz (XXXII Liceum). Analysis gives attention to the type of partnerships that are prevalent in the bosom of the lexical sets, as well as describes in detail significant relationships that occur among the most frequent words.Item La evidencialidad y la modalidad epistémica en los sermones católicos en español(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2014-03-29) Wielgosz, MałgorzataEpistemic modality indicates the degree of certainty or doubt a speaker has for the proposition expressed by their utterance. Evidentiality, on the other hand, is the indication of the kind of evidence for a statement in question. Given the eminently persuasive character of homiletic discourse, it frequently makes use of epistemic and evidential markers. The preacher emphasizes his high degree of certainty about the content of what he says and, in order to gain credibility, he supports his reasons citing the Bible or other reliable sources. This paper aims to analyze the markers of epistemic modality and evidentiality in Catholic sermons in Spanish. Moreover, it intends to defi ne the limit between different kinds of evidence. In order to carry out this analysis, twenty homilies pronounced in the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City have been examined. First of all, the defi nitions of epistemic modality and evidentiality are presented and the relation between these concepts is explored. Then, a classification of evidential values, based on the one by Plungian (2001: 351, 353), is illustrated. After that, the results of the analysis of epistemic modality and evidentiality in twenty sermons are discussed. Finally, the paper touches upon some problematic issues resulting from the classifi cation of different kinds of evidence.Item El refrán como estrategia comunicativa: (des)codificación del sentido y función pragmático-discursiva(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2014-03-29) López, Xavier PascualThe aim of this paper is to provide a comprehensive, theoretical overview of how proverbs are used as a communicative and discursive strategy, taking into account the speaker’s communicative intention. I will pay attention both to the benefits of the use of this type of formulaic sequence in the construction of the speech, and to the illocutionary force and pragmatic implications entailed by these utterances. In order to do so, some considerations will be required – the encoding of the meaning of the proverbs, the decoding process by the addressee, and the way proverbs are inserted in the discourse. This paper inspects the importance of such factors as the need for articulation of fluent speech, the assumption of cultural patterns, the appeal to proverbiality that aligns the speaker with power structures of the community, or the masking of the speaker’s voice behind a collective entity in order to socialize and release tensions related to interpersonal contact.Item La subjetivización y las dinámicas interaccionales(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2014-03-29) Baran, MarekIn the present article the subjectification process is being discussed in relation to the concept of interactional dynamics. It is suggested that to encode various semantic-pragmatic profiles can lead to changes at the level of communicative behavior patterns, which, for their part, are dominated by a particular order of socio-cultural conventionalization. The scope of conversational markers or nominal forms of address (NFA), which are submitted to analysis in the present study, indicates that the routinizing language use, together with an explicit grammatical manifestation, covers areas that appear to be semantically and pragmatically important in a given speaking community.
