Entre la textualité et l’intertextualité ou de la structure d’un projet d’architecture
(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2012-11-24) Walkiewicz, Barbara
This paper is an attempt to describe a building design as a hypertext genre. It represents a single– or multi-volume document that has to be submitted when applying for a planning permission issued by an appropriate administrative authority, usu. by Building Surveyors. Its broad thematic scope provides the best proof of its multidisciplinary character – indeed, it bears witness to the complexity of investment process which has to result eventually in the completion of a new building. Building designs consist of texts featuring various genres that belong to different discourse types – apart from administrative ones, they involve texts dealing with architecture, urban architecture, structural engineering, interior fit-outs, electrical and heating facilities, sanitary fittings. Law regulations precise the exact content of a building design, which heavily depends on the putative function of a building, its degree of complexity and environmental setting. A building design thus turns out to be a multilayered genre whose composition is related to extra linguistic factors (design location and its function). It exhibits features typical of hypertext genres: non-sequentiality (non-linearity), component independence of hyperstructure, polyphony (many authors), primacy of global coherence and interactivity. All the characteristics make it difficult to apply traditional models of describing linear texts to building designs, thus proving that the dividing line between text and hypertext genres is independent of the media boundary.

Introduction à la syntaxe de l’ « adverbe généralisé » en polonais
(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2012-11-24) Kaliska, Agnieszka
The purpose of the present research is to consider whether a syntactic approach proposed by Maurice Gross in "Syntaxe de l’adverbe" (1986) may prove helpful in analyzing Polish adverbs. The term of generalized adverb, proposed by M. Gross, is used for syntactically different structures (underived and derived adverbs, adverbials or adverbial subordinate clauses). In this paper we aim to present the basis for the delineation of morphological types of compound (frozen) adverbs in Polish which are classified according to their internal syntactic structure.

L’exemplification dans les articles prépositionnels des dictionnaires bilingues. Théorie et pratique
(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2012-11-24) Ucherek, Witold
The first part of the article deals with the function of the examples in bilingual dictionaries, compared to their function in monolingual ones. First, it is argued that examples in an active bilingual dictionary should principally exemplify the use of the headword’s translation equivalents rather than the headword itself, as it is in the case of monolingual dictionaries. Then a survey is made dealing with examples selected from all simple preposition entries in a recent Polish-French dictionary, taking into consideration both the structure and the function of these examples. The general conclusion is that in the investigated entries exemplifi cation fails seriously enough to make it impossible for users to choose the appropriate equivalent of a particular preposition.

Définir le sens dans un réseau lexical
(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2012-11-24) Dorota, Sikora
As underlined in Wierzbicka (1996: 239), a «linguistic definition is a scientific hypothesis about the concept encoded in a given word». The present paper focuses on the problem of what such hypothesis is about. Lexicon of any language is structured with a set of connections relating lexical items. That is to say that speakers of any language need to master not only separate words, but rather a cluster of connected senses. If so, then a lexical definition should lay out the concept the word lexicalizes in the way that gives access to the whole grasp of its conceptual, paradigmatic and syntagmatic relations. We discuss the topic of definitional structures developed in the context of the French Lexical Network (Réseau Lexical du Français).

La synchronie à lumière de la diachronie : quelques exemples
(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2012-11-24) Laurence, Rouanne
This article aims to give various examples that illustrate the use of a bipolar and joint perspective – diachronic and synchronic – for the semantic study of certain items of the language. We are initially interested in the adverb carrément, which currently seems to bear little relation to any meaning as an adverb of manner. Nevertheless, the diachronic study shows how the latter stages of its development with respect to its root carré pave the way for its becoming a polyphonic adverb. It is a similar case with apparemment: it has four clear stages of semantic development, each of which is related to the various values of this adverb in synchrony. However what is perhaps even more revealing is the diachronic approach in the case of the delocutive adverbs (diablement, bigrement, fichtrement...), whereby it might be seen that these elements can have no nominal or adjectival base, which is one of the criteria that helps to illustrate their origin.

Une approche syntaxique et lexicale des verbes pronominaux
(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2012-11-24) Petersilka, Corina
This Construction grammar approach to French refl exive verbs describes the formal and semantic constraints at work in the different refl exive constructions, points out at their different branches of inheritance and shows cases of fusion with other argument structures. The article suggests a family tree of French reflexive constructions which appear to be derived from different transitive constructions. It also deals with how the reflexive argument structure modifies the semantics of the transitive verb used in reflexive construction.

La dislocation d’un SA superlatif relatif d’infériorité : un cas particulier ?
(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2012-11-24) Nowakowska, Aleksandra
This article presents a thorough study of dislocation of superlative inferiority adjective dialogic function. The hypothesis of work stipulates that the dislocation is dialogic because the dislocated theme implies a relationship with a prior utterance by another enunciation. This relationship between two utterances is based on a comparison and makes dislocation a dialogic marker.

L’apport du concept de « dédoublement énonciatif » dans la description des séquences dialogiques
(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2012-11-24) Biardzka, Elżbieta
This contribution follows the stream of “praxématique” researches which particularly focus on the dialogue contained in an enunciative split analyzable at the level of the performed enunciation, consisting in the insertion of a second-level enunciation into the main enunciation sequence. In this paper, heterogeneous modes of such enunciative insertions are examined in order to refine and / or rectify the theorization on enunciative split in the description of dialogical sequences. The dialogical mechanism of following text sequences are analyzed: “textual island” category (“îlot textuel”), the confirmation adverb “bien”, the cleft sentence (“clivage”) and the reported speech.
