| dc.description.abstract | Rozprawa dotyczy analizy i interpretacji dramatycznej twórczości Hroswity z Gandersheim, kanoniczki, żyjącej w X wieku w Saksonii, w kontekście imitatio lub aemulatio. Sześć dramatów, stworzonych około roku 965, świadczy o nowatorstwie autorki, prowadzącej jednocześnie dialog z tradycją. Na podstawie analizy tekstów można stwierdzić, że dramatopisarka znała nie tylko teoretyczną doktrynę teatralną, ale również dzieła wybitnych twórców starożytności i wczesnego średniowiecza. W jej tekstach zauważa się wpływ zarówno dramatu rzymskiego, reprezentowanego głównie przez Terencjusza, jak i Biblii oraz dzieł scholastyków. Nadrzędnym celem rozprawy było wieloaspektowe spojrzenie na badane teksty i wykazanie umiejętności połączenia przeszłości z teraźniejszością na wielu płaszczyznach: struktury, fabuły, języka. Część pierwszą pracy wypełniły rozważania dotyczące programu literackiego Hroswity oraz teatralności jej dzieł, a także porównania dramatów z ich hagiograficznymi wzorami. W części drugiej poświęcono uwagę zestawieniu jej tekstów z dziełami nie tylko komediopisarza antycznego, ale również innych twórców starożytności oraz wczesnego średniowiecza pod kątem motywów. W części trzeciej skupiono się na analizie języka, a tym: słownictwa, składni oraz stopnia wykorzystania środków retorycznych. Rozważania dopełniły próby przybliżenia czytelnikom dwóch tekstów historycznych Hroswity oraz dokonania rekonstrukcji modelu wykształconej kobiety, żyjącej w X wieku. Badania wykazały, że Hroswita z Gandersheim szeroko korzystała ze źródeł, a także twórczo je modyfikowała w myśl zasady aemulatio. | pl |
| dc.description.abstract | The dissertation concerns the analysis and interpretation of the dramatic work of Hrotsvit of Gandersheim, canoness who lived in the tenth century in Saxony, in the context of imitatio or aemulatio. Six dramas created approximately around 965, testify to the novelty of the author, at the same time conducting a dialogue with the tradition. Based on the analysis of texts, not only the knowledge of the theoretical theatre doctrine of the writer but also masterpieces of eminent artists of antiquity and early Middle Ages might be concluded. In her works, the influence of both Roman drama, represented mostly by Terence, as well as the Bible and scholastic works is noticed. The overriding aim of the dissertation was a multi-faceted look on at the studied texts and demonstrating the ability to connect the past with the present on many levels: structure, plot, language. The first part of the work contains considerations regarding the literary program of Hrotsvit and theatricality of her works, as well as comparison dramas with their hagiographic patterns. The second part focuses on the parallel of her texts with not only work of an ancient comedian but also with other ancient creators and early Middle Ages in terms of motifs. The third part focuses on the analysis of language, including: vocabulary, syntax, and the usage of rhetorical devices. The considerations were complemented by attempts to familiarize readers two historical works of Hrotsvit and reconstruct the model of educated woman who lived in the tenth century Studies have shown that Hrotsvit from Gandersheim used the resources widely and creatively modified them in line with aemulatio principle. | pl |
