History – culture – faith. On the essays of Ryszard Przybylski
Abstract
Praca stanowi próbę monografii całości pisarskiego dorobku Ryszarda Przybylskiego. Główny cel rozprawy stanowi rekonstrukcja i omówienie światopoglądowego (a także literaturoznawczego) projektu, jaki wyłania się z twórczości Przybylskiego. Całość rozważań została sprofilowana wobec trzech pól problemowych – tytułowych: historii, kultury i wiary – które pozostają szczególnie istotne dla eseistyki Przybylskiego oraz najsilniej nasycone światopoglądową treścią. Te trzy wielkie tematy twórczości Przybylskiego stanowią zarazem najważniejsze horyzonty jego antropologicznej refleksji, a także prezentują pewną logikę rozwoju myśli eseisty, przebiegającą od doświadczenia historycznego – poprzez próbę jego zrozumienia za pośrednictwem hermeneutyki tekstów kultury, aż po sformułowanie autorskiej odpowiedzi w planie aksjologicznym. Perspektywie tematologicznej towarzyszy w pracy refleksja natury poetologicznej, poświęcona eseistyczności jako specyficznej formie uprawianego przez Przybylskiego dyskursu literaturo- i kulturoznawczego.
This dissertation is an attempt at a monographical discussion on all of Ryszard Przybylski's writings. The main objective of the work is to reconstruct and discuss the ideological (as well as literature study-oriented) project that emerges from the work of Przybylski. The whole research on Przybylski's writing focuses on three problem areas: history, culture and faith, as specified in the title of the dissertation, which seem to be particularly important for his essay writing and especially filled with ideological content. These three major topics of Przybylski's essay writing are at the same time the most important horizons of his anthropological reflection. They also present certain logic of development in Przybylski's thought, extending from historical experience – through his efforts to understand the experience by means of the hermeneutics of texts of culture, to the formulation of the author's response in the axiological plan. The thematological perspective is accompanied by a poetological reflection dedicated to essay writing as a specific research attitude that characterizes the works of Przybylski and the form of the literary and cultural discourse that the writer is engaged in.
