Strategies in education for sustainable development
Abstract
Ścieżki przyrodniczo-dydaktyczne to jedna z form zdobywania wiedzy w bezpośrednim kontakcie z przyrodą. Są one niezbędnym elementem w edukacji dla zrównoważonego rozwoju, która wymaga adekwatnych strategii nauczania. W pracy zaprezentowano dwie kategorie strategii nauczania: transmisyjną i aktywizującą. W pierwszej nauczyciel utrwala bierność poznawczą uczniów; w drugiej organizuje warunki, w których uczeń aktywnie poszukuje wiedzy i w wyniku podjętych działań psychicznych oraz fizycznych samodzielnie konstruuje własne rozumienie otaczającego go świata. Przykładem praktycznej realizacji interdyscyplinarnych zadań edukacyjnych, w myśl idei zrównoważonego rozwoju, jest ścieżka przyrodniczo-dydaktyczna realizowana na terenie Ogrodu Botanicznego UAM, pod tytułem: Drzewa i krzewy w poemacie „Pan Tadeusz”. Ścieżka ta łączy w sobie elementy przyrodnicze, historyczne i patriotyczne.
A didactic biology path makes direct contact with nature possible. The importance of the didactic biology path is indispensable in education for sustainable development, since we work from its assumption. The main assumption of education for sustainable development is the ability to notice the influence of teaching strategies and drawing accurate conclusion. This work presents two categories of teaching strategies: transmitting and activating. The former regards to teachers who transmit definite contents and values and strengthen a cognitive passivity of pupils. The latter to teachers who set up condition for their pupils educational experiences. Schoolchildren seek knowledge actively and undertake psychical and physical work to construct the world that surrounds them. The use of didactic biology path in the education plays an important role. Didactic biology path entitled: Trees and bushes in the poem “Pan Tadeusz” marked out in the Botanic Garden makes it possible to learn about the individuals of flora in historical – patriotic context.
