Abstract
Pierwszym celem niniejszej pracy jest odpowiedzenie na pytanie, jak i dlaczego Manuel Vázquez Montalbán (1939-2003) i Jaume Fuster (1945-1998) zmodyfikowali tradycyjny model powieści kryminalnej przy jednoczesnym wprowadzeniu go do swoich systemów literackich wytyczonych przez kryteria językowe. Dzięki krytycznej lekturze tekstów teoretycznych, mogliśmy wyciągnąć ogólne wnioski i odnieść je do twórczości tych pisarzy. Dokonaliśmy też przeglądu tekstów o teoriach systemowych, aby prześledzić konwencjonalne umiejscawianie tego gatunku i opisać relacje, które mogą pojawić się między różnymi agentami tych struktur. Wykorzystaliśmy też systemowy model literatury Evena-Zohara do zbadania sieci wzajemnych połączeń między tymi autorami oraz innymi reprezentantami kręgu literackiego. W ten sposób ustaliliśmy misję artystyczno-ideologiczną pisarzy i zlokalizowaliśmy techniki, które użyli w procesie implementacji oraz konsolidacji powieści kryminalnej do repertuaru wyrażonego w języku hiszpańskim oraz katalońskim. Najważniejszym wnioskiem z przeprowadzonych badań jest owocna współpraca systemowa większości agentów, dla których gatunek ten okazał się sposobem na spełnienie swoich celów. Kondycja tych struktur zdeterminowała aktywności towarzyszące wejściu powieści kryminalnej do inwentarza literackiego tych społeczności. Autorzy, zgodnie ze swoimi intencjami, zmodyfikowali podstawowe elementy poetyki tego gatunku i dali początek prawdziwie lokalnej wersji takiej literatury, która po dziś dzień dalej ewoluuje i prezentuje coraz to nowsze cechy.
The initial goal of this work is to answer the question of how and why Manuel Vázquez Montalbán (1939-2003) and Jaume Fuster (1945- 1998) modified the traditional model of the crime novel while simultaneously integrating it into their literary systems as defined by linguistic criteria. Thanks to a critical reading of various theoretical, we were able to draw general conclusions and apply them to the work of our authors. Subsequently, texts on system theories have been reviewed to trace the conventional placement of this genre and describe the relationships that can emerge between various agents of these structures. Lastly, Even-Zohar’s systemic literature model was utilised to examine the network of mutual connections between the authors and other representatives of the literary sphere. In this way, the artistic-ideological mission of Vázquez Montalbán and Fuster was identified. The study located the techniques employed in implementing and consolidating the crime novel into their repertoire in Spanish and Catalan languages. The most significant finding from the research is the fruitful systemic collaboration of most agents, for whom this genre has proven to be a means of achieving their objectives. Furthermore, the state of these structures determined the activities accompanying the crime novel’s introduction into the literary inventory of these communities. In line with their intentions, the authors modified the fundamental elements of the poetics of this genre. They initiated a truly local version of such literature, which continues to evolve and present increasingly novel and highly original features.
El primer objectiu d’aquest treball és respondre a la pregunta com i per què Manuel Vázquez Montalbán (1939-2003) i Jaume Fuster (1945- 1998) van modificar el model tradicional del gènere de la novel·la negra i policíaca, alhora que l’implementaven en els seus respectius sistemes literaris, delimitats per criteris lingüístics. Gràcies a la lectura crítica de diversos textos teòrics, hem pogut extreure conclusions generals i aplicar-les a l’obra dels nostres escriptors. Hem revisat textos sobre teories sistèmiques per rastrejar les ubicacions convencionals d’aquest gènere, tot descrivint les relacions que poden sorgir entre els diferents agents d’aquestes estructures. Hem fet servir el model del polisistema literari d’Even-Zohar per explorar la xarxa d’interconnexions entre els mateixos autors i altres representants de la societat literària. Hem estat capaços d’establir la missió artísticoideològica de Vázquez Montalbán i Fuster, al mateix temps que localitzàvem les tècniques emprades en el procés d’implantació i consolidació d’aquest gènere en el repertori expressat en castellà i català. Un altre objectiu d’aquesta investigació és l’explicitació i caracterització de la fructífera cooperació sistèmica de la majoria d’agents per als quals aquest gènere ha resultat una manera de complir els seus objectius. L’estat d’aquestes estructures literàries determinaven les activitats que acompanyaven l’entrada del gènere negre i policíac a l’inventari literari d’aquestes comunitats. Els autors han modificat els ingredients d’aquest gènere i han donat lloc a la seva versió local, que continua evolucionant.
