Abstract
In this article the author deals with the question of teaching the skill of writing and understanding of argumentative texts in French as a foreign language at the advanced level. The author suggests that the
interactive approach be adopted in teaching argumentative writing and understanding and characterizes its goals and principles, then the author presents gradation of the content of teaching. Particular stages of gradation are illustrated didactic sequences.
