Abstract
Żyjemy w społeczeństwie wiedzy, toteż informacja staje się podstawowym kapitałem jego przemian i rozwoju. Grupy społeczne, które będą dysponować jego zasobami, będą decydować o ich dystrybucji i mieć wpływ na przebieg cywilizacyjnych transformacji. Jedną z takich uprzywilejowanych grup będą bibliotekarze. Ich dostęp do wiedzy i nowych technologii, przyczynią się do poszerzania zakresu ich obowiązków wraz z wzrostem ich kwalifikacji i kompetencji. Zakładamy, że ich rola w instytucjach oświatowych wzrośnie do tego stopnia, że staną się ich menadżerami, a w stosunku do kadry nauczycieli, jak i dzieci oraz młodzieży uczącej się, staną się edukatorami, co w sumie pozwoli mówić o tym zawodzie jak o brokertutorzy. Artykuł pełni rolę teoretycznej propozycji, dlatego omawiane tutaj zagadnienia będą dotyczyć społeczeństwa wiedzy, funkcji i roli bibliotek w życiu społecznym, kreacji zwodu bibliotekarza ujętego jako brokertutor wraz z omówieniem jego zadań na przykładzie współpracy z uczniem w kontekście komunikacji interpersonalnej (interakcjonizmu symbolicznego).
We live in the socjety of knowledge, and therefore information becomes the basic capital of the society’s transformation and development. Social groups with such resources will decide about their distribution and influence civilisational transformations. Librarians are becoming one of highly privileged groups. Their access to knowledge and modern technologies will broaden the range of their duties together with the increasing of their qualifications and competences. We assume the role of librarians in educational institutions will rise to sucha an extent that they will become managers ofthose institutions. They will be children;s, students’ and teachers’ educators; a broke tutor will be the name of their profession. The article is a theoretical proposal, therefore the matters discussed in it will concern the socjety of knowledge, the function and the role of libraries in a social life and the creating of the brokr tutor profession. The broke tutor profession is discussed together with its tasks exemplified by cooperation with the student in the context of interpersonal communication, that is to say, in the context of symbolic interactionsism and phenomenology.
